ASTA Collegiate Chapter

The collegiate chapter of the American String Teachers Association at Florida State University is comprised of a diverse group of students. The chapter includes students that study both performance and education, as well as students that are not native string players. The chapter aims to prepare students to be excellent educators by offering professional development presentations, volunteer opportunities, and assistance in attending regional and national conferences. Because of their work to serve the their university and community, the FSU ASTA Chapter was awarded the Most Outstanding Chapter award in 2017. Members of the FSU ASTA Chapter recently attended the FOA Conference in Orlando, FL, and are excited to attend the National Conference in Atlanta, GA this spring.
